The pent-up demand for company takeovers by financial and strategic investors will dissipate. The recent improvement in the financing environment should also contribute to higher transaction volumes, spurred on by a more favorable interest rate environment and a recovery in M&A and IPO activity.

After a record year in 2024, the secondary market remains dynamic. Both fundraising and capital deployment remain high. The transaction volume for general and limited partner-led deals will continue to grow.

And one of the decisive factors for PE diversification into Asia will be whether China succeeds in turning the corner towards more growth with comprehensive economic measures.
