Economic growth in the established economies was revised downwards several times in 2024 - and the forecasts for 2025 remain uncertain due to the ongoing geopolitical crises and the impact of both economic contractions and uncertainty with regard to inflation, at least in some economies.

The German economy in particular will continue to face headwinds in 2025. Europe appears to be stuck in a prolonged phase of economic weakness. No improvement in sight?
